Duratec is continuing to expand its operations across Victoria and Tasmania and is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to support a diverse portfolio of commercial projects.
Our work spans Defence, remediation, cladding, refurbishments, energy and heritage projects, typically valued up to $25 million, delivered within live operating environments and under complex contractual frameworks.
This role will suit a commercially minded Contract Administrator who is comfortable administering head contracts and subcontractor agreements, supporting project teams, and working closely with senior management to achieve strong project outcomes.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for providing end‑to‑end contract administration support across multiple projects, including:
- Administering head contracts, MSAs and project‑specific agreements, including commercial review and ongoing compliance
- Supporting subcontractor procurement, including scope review, contract execution and back‑to‑back risk management
- Assessing and administering subcontractor and client claims, including progress claims, variations and compliance with contractual requirements
- Supporting project teams with commercial reporting, including cost, programme, risk and status reports required by clients
- Implementing and maintaining subcontract administration processes, including payment certification, claims assessment and contract correspondence
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve commercial and contractual issues
- Supporting senior management to ensure project commercial objectives are achieved
ABOUT YOU
You will bring a strong commercial construction background and a practical understanding of contract administration, including:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Contract Administrator or similar commercial role
- Demonstrated experience administering head contracts and subcontract agreements
- Strong understanding of contractual risk, claims, variations and commercial reporting
- Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities in a delivery‑focused environment
- Clear, professional communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and subcontractors
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain a Police Clearance
- This role is subject to pre‑employment medical and background checks
