Reporting to the Digital Assets Lead in MEnD Consulting, and initially being dedicated to a major Defence project, this role will implement a practical approach to Digital Engineering across the Duratec group of companies in-line with our approach of innovating to reduce risk, maximise quality, improve efficiency and work collaboratively.

THE ROLE

• Lead and drive the implementation of the Digital Engineering function on a major Defence project, providing support to the Engineering Manager
• Maintain a secure, evergreen Digital Engineering (DE) project space/Common Data Environment (CDE) in line with cyber-security protocols, ensure consistent accessibility for project staff
• Implementation of the Digital Engineering Execution Plan for projects
• Responsible for the integration and federation of discipline and trade package models
• Oversee subcontractor and trade package digital workflows, submission standards and coordination meetings
• Designer submission information management
• Survey and on-site construction data management and integration
• Spatial coordination and hard & soft clash assessments
• Project modelling and drafting and/or guidance of drafting staff
• Issue management, resolution and coordination, including generating Technical Queries, Requests for Information
• Driving solutions for Engineering sign-off and leading resolution workshops for complex issues
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement software/hardware
• Support the growth of Digital Engineering through engagement, tendering and technical assistance throughout the Duratec Group.

ABOUT YOU

• Australian Citizenship (requirement for Defence projects)
• Demonstrated experience implementing Digital Engineering on large scale multidisciplinary Construction Projects
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction
• Extensive experience managing Digital Engineering projects including knowledge and understanding of relevant codes such as ISO19650
• Experience adopting a range of 3D modelling, CAD, BIM and visualisation software applications and working with point cloud data and survey information
• Prior experience managing stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, problem solving, driving project outcomes
• Proficiency with applications such as 12D, Revizto, Navisworks Manage, Revit and ArcGIS or similar highly desirable
