Projects include Building & Facades refurbishments, repairs, remediation, demolition and upgrade projects valued around $10 million.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Building & Facades projects from initial setup through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of the project
  • Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
  • Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
  • Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program 
  • Involvement with tendering/estimation
  • Create and modify ITP’s and SWMS
  • Raise RFI’s and track responses

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar role, managing construction projects in a contractor environment
  • An interest in business development and operations
  • Leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities
  • A high level of understanding and appreciation for safety
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Solid programming and planning skills

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary Engineering qualification in relevant discipline
  • Construction induction white card
  • Police Clearance due to projects being based on a Defence site
  • Drivers Licence

ABOUT YOU

  • Prior experience in a similar role highly desirable.
  • Confident using Microsoft Suites and have experience in processing expenses with a sound understanding of GST.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Comfortable in a project environment.
  • You can form positive stakeholder relationships of all levels, becoming the “go to” person for the team members in your division.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
