PURPOSE

Support the delivery team on significant and complicated project(s) within Brisbane. Delivering the scope of works in a safe manner, on time, to Duratec standard, meeting client expectations and achieving the desired financial outcomes. 

Delivering construction, remediation, commercial and building scopes as Principal Contractor with a focus on architectural, structural and services competencies to support delivery.

THE ROLE

  • Support a project management structure of all aspects of project delivery and project controls
  • Prepare accurate tendering and delivery programs/schedules that support dependable delivery
  • Prepare and validate project reports (internal and external)
  • Support project controls practices and ensure compliance with company and client systems, policies and procedures
  • Provide advice to project team and managers regarding all project controls related issues, including cost, progress, schedule and change management
  • Evaluate impact of change on planned work, including critical path analysis and extension of time entitlements
  • Challenge construction proposals to maximise efficiencies/productivity
  • Consider delivery methodology and sequencing to identify and provide improvements on the execution plan
  • Sub-contractor support and management
  • Adoption of basic modelling software to aid progress reporting and stakeholder communication

ABOUT YOU

  • Prior experience working on architectural projects with significant temporary works is highly advantageous
  • Leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Contract, Project, or Construction Management
  • High levels of understanding and appreciation in safety, controls and mitigation
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Solid programming and scheduling skills (P6 and Asta preferrable)
  • Experience in a similar role within a Principal Contractor environment
