THE ROLE
Join Duratec’s growing NSW team and assist in the delivery of remediation projects including Heritage remediation projects on construction sites including high rise buildings across Newcastle.
You will be primarily responsible for project deliverables and operations, overseeing and coordination of our projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage construction programs.
- Regular cost forecasts and management of cost controls/reporting for allocated projects.
- Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
- Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program
- Prepare, Review and complete subcontractor claims and variations
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements
- Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
- Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
- Involvement with tendering/estimation
- Create and modify ITP’s and SWMS
- Raise RFI’s and track responses
- Review tender packages and preparation of subcontract agreements
YOUR EXPERIENCE
You will have experience in a similar role, managing facade replacement and Heritage restoration construction projects and an understanding of new construction and refurbishment project methodologies.
- 5 years in construction industry in similar role or value, managing remediation projects on high rise buildings
- Strong understanding and appreciation for waterproofing, painting, window and door installations and tiling, and roof works
- Leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities
- A high level of understanding and appreciation for safety
- Commercial acumen
- Programming and planning skills
- Contract awareness and cost tracking experience
- Ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with clients and internal team members
- Self-managing while working well in a team environment
- Problem-solving ability and can ‘think outside the box’
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
Qualifications and Requirements
- Construction White Card
- Drivers Licence
- Tertiary qualification in Construction or Project Management
