We are currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Paint Supervisor to join our Northwest division. This position offers the stability of a longer-term contract with over 12 months remaining on the project and the opportunity to lead a skilled team in delivering high-quality abrasive blasting and protective coating services across a range of projects.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising blast and paint teams and managing the QA/QC and coating inspections and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to project delivery.

  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects run to program
  • Complete QA/QC Coating Inspections to applicable Australian and International standards
  • Undertake visual inspection after abrasive blasting and before coating
  • Inspect after coating application for coating defects
  • Carry out surface profile tests
  • Create coatings inspection reports
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to the project team
  • Preparation and implementation of project quality management systems
  • Coach and mentor team members to deliver Abrasive Blast and Protective Coatings to the client’s specifications

ABOUT YOU

  • NACE qualification (Preferred)
  • S26 (Preferred)
  • Construction white card
  • Experience in the construction and/or mining industry with blasting and painting
  • Team player, proactive and reliable with high safety standards 
  • Police Check (or ability to obtain one)
