Manage the seamless transition of assets, systems, and documentation between project phases or operational teams.
This role is critical in ensuring the successful transition (Handover Takeover) of systems and assets from construction and commissioning phases to operational readiness, in full compliance with project standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage Handover/Takeover (HOTO) processes and checklists across all project phases.
- Assist in development and implementation of commissioning and handover requirements and strategies aligned with project milestones.
- Liaise with engineering, operations, and project teams to facilitate smooth transitions and system readiness.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with the relevant parties including inspections, functional testing, and performance verification.
- Submission of all asset data (GDL related) accurate to what’s installed on site, location and corresponding datasheets.
- Coordinate with subcontractors all the relevant documentation required for handover including but not limited to redlines and ascons
- Monthly reporting of HOTO progress to client and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and tracking of deliverables, including test reports, warranties, certificates, and punch lists.
- Construct and compile O&M’s of all the relevant trades in accordance with the contractual, Defence and regulatory requirements
- Identify and resolve issues related to incomplete or non-compliant handover packages.
- Facilitate formal handover of systems to operations or client teams, including final inspections and acceptance testing.
- Support verification of system readiness and operational capability before takeover.
- Support audits and quality assurance activities related to commissioning and HOTO processes.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
- Ensure client satisfaction and alignment with operational expectations.
ABOUT YOU
- (5-10) experience in engineering or project delivery roles, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Experience in Defence projects is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of asset management, commissioning, and documentation control.
- Communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering– Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical
- Police Clearance

- Drivers Licence
