Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments and collections, and supporting the broader finance team with day-to-day transactional accounting.
Work closely with the Accounts Payable and Receivable Leads and the Operations team, to ensure financial processes align with business activities and support smooth operational execution.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Integrate processes with the financial system, policies and procedures
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to payables
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and issue customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms.
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and manage credit notes or adjustments.
- Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve billing issues.
- Work closely with AR Lead for Group to ensure timely collections
ABOUT YOU
This role would suit someone with previous experience as a finance officer, accounts all rounder, assistant accountant or bookkeeper.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable/receivable or general accounting
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building positive stakeholder relationships
- Intermediate level experience in MS Office
- Team player with sound verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with a can-do proactive attitude
- Police Clearance
Desirable Skills
- JD Edwards (Oracle based system) experience
- Other ERP experience
- Accounting qualification such as CPA
