THE ROLE

Be responsible for estimating tender quotes and ensuring that tenders are accurate and submitted on time for various construction remediation projects across the Northern Territory. You will also be responsible for:

• Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates
• Compile accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantities
• Assist preparing and developing construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation
• Develop estimates from first principles using site productivity rates
• Prepare risk and opportunity including cost escalation analysis for estimates
• Review designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where applicable
• Hand over detailed tenders with traceability and support into pre-contracts and delivery

 ABOUT YOU

Your ability to be adaptable and proactive will see that you succeed in this role. You will bring:

• Experience in engineering and resource industries
• Prior experience in Defence sector, construction remediation (preferred but not essential)
• Financial and commercial acumen
• Request additional information via RFIs to complete tender documents
• Interpersonal skills, confident, professional and self-motivated
• Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent
