The Duratec Group of companies have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our experience finance team.
THE ROLE
- Manage company fuel cards
- Process bank guarantee/insurance bond requests and maintain relevant registers
- Update JDE Requisition requests and purchase order approval routes
- Assist with the set-up of ad-hoc payments for authorisation
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Calculate payroll tax obligations for sub-contractors
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Manage Equipment Financing with NAB/CBA, including month-end journals
- Manage capital expenditure process, allocate capex numbers, and update fixed assets register
- Assist with annual external audits
- Support in the compilation and completion of annual FBT and income tax returns
- Processing financial transactions
ABOUT YOU
This role would suit someone with previous experience as a finance officer, accounts all rounder, assistant accountant or bookkeeper.
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building positive stakeholder relationships
- Intermediate level experience in MS Office
- Team player with sound verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with a can-do proactive attitude
- Police Clearance
Desirable Skills
- JD Edwards (Oracle based system) experience
- Other ERP experience
- Accounting qualification such as CPA
