THE ROLE
You will drive and champion positive safety behaviours enabling a proactive culture within these regions, to ensure overall HSEQ compliance with management system policies, management plans and procedures.
This is a permanent role and will be based out of our Northgate office QLD office.
Responsibilities
- Lead, influence and utilise your HSEQ skills and experience to support project teams
- Coach, advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements & changes to comply with company procedures
- Encourage a healthy safe and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel
- Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings
- Coordinate HESQ training programs including the maintenance of competency standards
- Actively analyse HSEQ performance, reporting, system updates
- Maintain the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level
- Compile project specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as needed
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in communicating with Direct workforce and working with safe methods of work
- Experience in reviewing of SWMS, JHA’s and conducting Audits
- An understanding of Quality Management processes
- Prior experience leading a HSEQ team in the Construction Industry (or have transferable industry experience)
- Flexibility to travel to various other various areas of QLD
- Ability to operate autonomously whilst ensuring project efficiency
Qualifications & requirements
- White Card
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a similar discipline
- Police clearance due to projects being on Defence sites
