THE ROLE

  • Data Accuracy Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data across all databases.
  • Month-End Reporting: Manage the month-end reporting process by coordinating between the various data teams and validating data accuracy and ensuring data is correctly reconciled.
  • Budget and Forecast Support: Provide technical assistance to the Finance team during budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Visualisation: Develop and maintain visual dashboards and reports to present financial data effectively to stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial data processes, including automating data collection and financial reporting to enhance efficiency.
  • Database and Application Support: Manage and support financial databases and applications, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ad-Hoc Data Requests: Respond promptly to ad-hoc data inquiries from stakeholders, supplying accurate and timely information.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Finance, IT and Operations to support informed decision making

ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of relational databases with strong SQL desirable.
  • Experience in working with large, complex datasets, including building queries and extracting data.
  • Prior experience with Power BI essential, including evidence of training.
  • A natural problem solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to take accountability.

Desirable skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Data Science, Finance, or relevant qualification
  • Experience working with a project-based / construction company
  • Experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or other Oracle software
