Built on reputation, values, teamwork, and experience, Duratec have an opportunity that provides diverse tasks with support from an experienced finance team to fulfill statutory and management accounting needs, carrying out a defined part of the overall accounting function.

THE ROLE

• Manage company fuel cards
• Process bank guarantee/insurance bond requests and maintain relevant registers
• Update JDE Requisition requests and purchase order approval routes
• Assist with the set-up of ad-hoc payments for authorisation
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Calculate payroll tax obligations for sub-contractors
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Manage Equipment Financing with NAB/CBA, including month-end journals
• Manage capital expenditure process, allocate capex numbers, and update fixed assets register
• Assist with annual external audits
• Support in the compilation and completion of annual FBT and income tax returns
• Processing financial transactions

ABOUT YOU

Along with proven experience in a similar role within a medium to large company, you will have:

• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Accurate data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building positive stakeholder relationships
• Intermediate level experience in MS Office
• Team player with sound verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with a can-do proactive attitude
• Police Clearance

Desirable Skills

• JD Edwards (Oracle based system) experience
• Other ERP experience
• Accounting qualification
