THE ROLE

Be responsible for the provision of support of HSEQ compliance with management system policies, management plans and procedures across a range of construction projects.

You will gain exposure to a diverse range of projects across SA which include Defence, Government and infrastructure projects. 

  • Assist the project team in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
  • Coach, advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements and changes to comply with company procedures
  • Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions as per company procedures
  • Assist management to encourage a healthy safe and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel
  • Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits
  • Create and review SWMS, JHA’s conducting Audits
  • Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings
  • Coordinate HESQ training programs including the maintenance of competency standards
  • Actively analyse HSEQ performance, reporting, system updates
  • Maintain the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level
  • Compile project specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids

ABOUT YOU

  • 3-5 years experience in a HSE advisor role, must have construction experience  - Defence experience highly regarded
  • Qualification in Health & Safety, or equivalent
  • Flexibility to travel across SA
  • Enthusiastic advocate of safety with the ability to influence others
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance
  • Confident communication with the ability to recognise the essential role of every employee, subcontractor, and site leader in delivering safe work outcomes on our projects  
  • Good time management skills and can multitask with multiple stakeholders
