Interfacing closely with the Estimating Lead and State Manager, you will oversee accurate bid preparation, presentation and follow-up for all Duratec tenders across the Northern Territory.

THE ROLE

  • Build pricing models from first principles
  • Compile clear and concise scopes of works and RFT documentation
  • Attend site visits as required including remote and interstate site locations
  • Determine and submit tender clarifications on time to both ensure compliance of tender and maintain strategic position
  • Respond to and record tender clarifications with subcontractor and supplier submissions
  • Ensure omissions and dispensations are clearly identified and balanced in evaluation and comparison sheets
  • Conduct commercial, risk and profitability reviews aligned with company procedures and risk thresholds
  • Provide detailed tender handover documentation with traceability and support into pre-contracts and delivery

ABOUT YOU

  • Prior exposure to subcontractor and supplier bases in the NT (desirable)
  • Experience working within a main contractor environment
  • Knowledge of remedial trades (remedial trade background beneficial)
  • Experience tendering self-performing works
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in bid management and preparation of tenders for market including full compliance of tender documentation with client requirements
  • Sound understanding of Australian and key client standards to ensure compliance of the estimate along with subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • True understanding of risk management and the appropriation of cost to manage risk and opportunity
  • Police Clearance
