THE ROLE
Help deliver the day-to-day operations and be involved across a variety of specialised infrastructure upgrades.
Along with planning and coordination of works, equipment and personnel, duties include:
- Compile and creating QA/QC documentation
- Coordinate direct labour workforce, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Quantity take-offs
- Project procurement
- Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
- Ensure compliance with HSECQ requirements
- Maintain the project sites, premises, plant & equipment
- Facilitate regular project management meetings
The Duratec-Ertech Joint Venture
The Duratec-Ertech Joint Venture (DEJV) is a specialist Defence infrastructure delivery partnership with a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure works at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia’s premier naval base. Building on this experience, DEJV has been engaged to deliver several significant infrastructure projects supporting AUKUS, representing a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity to contribute to Australia’s future Defence capability.
This position is part of the joint venture, and applicants will be considered for opportunities across both partners.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications and requirements
- Tertiary Engineering qualification in relevant discipline – Civils
- White card
- Drivers License
- Australian Citizenship (requirement for Defence projects)
Working Experience:
- Civil infrastructure upgrade experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in relevant industry
- Understanding of engineering principles
- Communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients in a professional manner
- Sound reporting writing skills with the ability to write comprehensive reports
- Extensive project delivery skills, including budgeting, coordinating work priorities, cost control, stakeholder management, subcontractor management, documentation and statutory approvals
- Commercial understanding of contract and project cost control
