THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing engineering consulting team within a rapidly growing ASX-listed business. You will work at the interface of inspection, durability engineering and digital delivery, applying innovative thinking to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
 
The role can be tailored to either a Consulting Engineer or Lead level depending on experience, with increased responsibility for project leadership, client management and team development at Lead level. The preferred candidate will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery, profitability and strategic growth of our services through alignment with the company’s values, technical excellence and supporting business development. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct condition assessments of civil infrastructure and buildings
  • Apply and adapt recognised NDT techniques to project requirements
  • Build and manage client relationships and contribute to business development
  • Deliver materials durability and corrosion related assessments, including cathodic protection
  • Prepare remediation strategies and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with internal contracting teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Adopt to digital deliver techniques (3D reality capture, digital defect management)
  • Support the development and trial of new technologies and methodologies

There will be a requirement for typically short-term travel to sites to fulfil project requirements. 

ABOUT YOU

You are a motivated engineer with experience in inspection, durability or asset management within the construction or infrastructure sectors. You combine strong technical capability with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience assessing concrete and/or steel structures (inspection, maintenance or remediation)
  • Strong understanding of materials durability and degradation mechanisms (desirable)
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks, gaps and practical solutions
  • Strong written communication skills for reporting and proposals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil / Structural or Materials Engineering, or similar related field;
  • Relevant experience enabling you to have developed a range of relative knowledge and skills;
  • A current Australian driver’s license
  • Subject to a pre-employment medical and background checks.
