THE ROLE

Be responsible for bridging project delivery teams with corporate communications, marketing, and external stakeholders.

The role ensures that project activities, milestones, and outcomes are communicated clearly, consistently, and strategically to support both project and organisational objectives, brand reputation, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Project communications

  • Develop and implement communication strategies targeted at key clients and stakeholders
  • Translate technical project information into clear, audience-friendly messaging
  • Coordinate internal updates (e.g. newsletters, intranet, leadership briefs)
  • Support crisis or issue communications where required
  • Track and report on communications effectiveness and engagement metrics
  • Support approvals processes for: Client-facing communications and media and public announcement

Stakeholder engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, and communications/marketing functions
  • Manage stakeholder communications to ensure alignment, transparency, and trust
  • Ensure consistent, accurate and proactive messaging to manage expectations on project performance
  • Support project leadership in framing issues, delays, or risks in a controlled and professional manner
  • Prepare briefings, updates and key messaging for senior client interactions
  • Conduct Client feedback and provide insights to improve stakeholder engagement and campaign performance
  • Ensure communications comply with contractual requirements (e.g. client approvals, defence protocols) and regulatory and confidentiality obligations

Marketing & brand alignment

  • Develop case studies, project profiles, and capability statements that highlights team performance, innovation and outcomes
  • Coordinate project announcements, media releases, and campaigns
  • Ensure all project communications align with brand, ESG, and corporate messaging frameworks
  • Capture project milestones and visual storytelling (photos, videos, site content)

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications and requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other relevant discipline

 Working Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing & communications role
  • Experience in the construction or engineering sector
  • Experience in the Defence sector or Government or regulated environments – desirable
