Duratec is an ASX listed project-based contractor with a national footprint of 16 branches across Australia providing innovative whole of life engineering, construction and remediation solutions in Mining, Defence, Oil and Gas, Marine, Industrial and Commercial industries.


We have an expanding portfolio of awarded contracts in our mining division, we are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our growing North West Team working with blue chip mining clients. 

Working on a large-scale structural integrity project in the Pilbara this role is essential in the execution and tracking of our project. Working closely with the leadership team and execution supervisors this role will actively schedule future works and capture completed works on a daily basis.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time FIFO basis from Perth to Pilbara sites on an 8:6 roster.


  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and maintaining of project schedules in tendering and execution phases
  • Provide key dates, milestones, interdependencies, work breakdown structure and schedule critical path management
  • Presenting schedule analysis to internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Monitoring and reporting of progress performance against approved project baseline plan
  • Analysing deviations and proposed variations to evaluate impact on the project timeframe and resource requirements
  • Liaise with the project manager to manage and control resource capacity planning


Including your experience in a Scheduler role in a construction environment (your mining exposure would be highly regarded), you will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively liaise with personnel at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project schedules using critical path methodologies
  • Ability to interpret and create work break down structures (WBS)
  • Be an analytical thinker and problem solver including the ability to identify risk
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Primavera 6, Microsoft Excel and Word, AutoCAD and Sketch-Up looked upon favourably
  • Experience in deriving and building EOT claims including narratives and root cause analysis
