ABOUT US

Duratec is an ASX listed project-based contractor offering a full range of remediation services with more than 15 branches across Australia servicing the Mining, Defence, Oil and Gas, Industrial and Marine industries along with Government assets and Commercial Infrastructure including Heritage buildings.

THE ROLE

Due to an expanding portfolio of awarded contracts, we are currently seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our North West Division.  Reporting to the Pilbara East Area Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing multiple remediation projects across the division commencing with a structural integrity project.

As the Project Manager, you will also be responsible for the planning, coordination and controlling of the project from construction through to completion whilst adhering to strict safety conditions.  

This role is offered on a permanent fulltime basis working on a FIFO roster from Perth to the Pilbara region or residential in Port Hedland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Controlling and managing all aspects of the project
  • Project managing from initial site setup to completion
  • Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Ensuring effective cost control and efficient running of the project
  • Coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
  • Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
  • Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program 

ABOUT YOU

Along with your extensive project management (mechanical experience) and delivery skills, including budgeting, coordinating work priorities, cost control, stakeholder management, subcontractor management, documentation, statutory approvals, you will have:

  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar
  • A high level of understanding and appreciation for Safety
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Solid programming and planning skills
  • Experience in a similar role within a Contractor environment is preferred – BHP, PPA, Rio Tinto/DSL or FMG experience preferable
  • Structural Integrity Remediation experience is advantageous 
  • Be adaptable and flexible to travel around the NW Region
